![]() Itade me realise that many of the other characters weren't fleshed out enough for me to care. Which happened mainly when Vex and Vax were separated for a short time. My only issue with this book was that there was a lull in the pace. Revealing parts of Vex and Vax backstory in short bursts that revealed motives and elements of the main story. I felt like these glimpses were spread out really well. From them first living with their mother, then father, before deciding to live how they wanted to. I loved the glimpses into their past too. But I didn't have that same issue when I listened to the audiobook. I found myself having to reread some paragraphs before they made sense to me. I am dyslexic and I did struggle with the authors writing style. I personally found it easier to listen and focus on the audiobook than trying to read the physical book. Which I really loved about the audiobook. It's narrated by Robbie Daymond, with Laura Bailey and Liam O'Brien narrating Vex and Vax's lines. I would recommend listening to this book. ![]() It's a pretty exciting and fun adventure. ![]() This was a good book, I really liked getting to read a story about Vex and Vax before they were part of Vox Machina and became the heroes we know.
